Urbahn Architects saw a whopping 68.6% growth in regional revenue, to $21.3 million in 2018 from $12.63 million the year earlier. The firm’s projects in its core markets of justice, education and urban infrastructure, and its eye-opening revenue growth, are some reasons why it is ENR New York’s Design Firm of the Year for 2019.
The New York City-based firm’s largest regional project to break ground in 2018 is the $85 million New York City Juvenile Justice Redevelopment Program, for which it is master-planning and designing the redevelopment of two centers, Horizon and Crossroads, to “create a more humane environment to better address behavioral and psychological issues of juvenile inmates.”
