Paradise Crossing Lifestyle Community and Recreation Center

Conceived as a groundbreaking residential development on Jamaica’s north shore, Paradise Crossing aimed to create a coveted destination for those seeking a luxurious lifestyle in a stunning tropical setting. With nearly 1,000 units, this mixed-use complex was designed to feature a lifestyle center, swimming pools, outdoor recreation, and a retail center, all crafted to provide residents with an unparalleled living experience. Urbahn’s master plan sought to maximize the potential of the 220-acre site, dedicating half of the land to the mixed-use complex, while reserving the remainder for future single-family villa development.

The L-shaped residential structures were strategically arranged to provide residents with easy access to the shoreline, allowing full immersion in the natural beauty of their surroundings. The Lifestyle Center, designed as the heart of the community, was envisioned to offer a wide range of amenities catering to the diverse interests of its residents. From social spaces like the lounge and game room to the tranquility of the library and the vitality of the fitness center, each area was thoughtfully planned to promote a sense of community and encourage meaningful interactions among neighbors. The 64,000 square foot retail complex, a unique feature of the development, was designed to span across a river, with its two halves connected by a charming pedestrian bridge. This thoughtful design element was intended to add a touch of whimsy and convenience to the shopping experience.
